Welcome to Woodstock,Illinois
A National Trust
Distinctive Destination

Located in scenic McHenry County and just a 70 minute ride northwest of Chicago, Woodstock, IL  has a unique and beguiling character.  Woodstock's breathtaking 1890's town square and downtown historic district offer a distinctive collection of shops, restaurants, galleries, theatre, and clubs in a friendly, historic, market town.

Innovative and creative entrepreneurs provide a superior shopping, dining, entertainment, and "staying over" experience.  Offering a wide selection of exclusive goods and services that cannot be found elsewhere, this is a town that offers real choice, beyond the shopping experience of malls and chain brands.

Distinctive Destination National Trust for Historic PreservationIn 2007 Woodstock was recognized as one of twelve Distinctive Destinations in the United States by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
